 Writing Centre BOOK DRIVE for CHARITY
Sunday, May 26th – Thursday, June 13th 
 
The Writing Centre invites your support for its Annual BOOK DRIVE for CHARITY. All students/ parents and staff are requested to bring in at least one book to donate to the Writing Centre Book Drive for “Room to Read”which aims to bring education to millions of children in the developing world.       

Books for all age-groups, in English, Arabic, French, Farsi, Russian, Hindi, Urdu - any language - will be welcomed. 
 
Donation DROP BOXES will be placed at the FRONT and CAFETERIA entrances to the school, next to all the elevators and outside The Writing Centre.

As we reach the end of the GWA school year in Dubai, it seems the right time at which to launch my very own Writing Right site and blog, thanks to the support of our persistent and patient in-house IT expert: Tony Potts.

Very soon I will be leaving our fledgling GWA Writing Centre in the able hands of Tina Evans who will replace me as coordinator here as Himmat and I move on to new adventures in Singapore.

Tomorrow, we have our farewell party for our 40 or so Writing Centre Peer tutors and the 30 "regular" students who have used the support through the course of the year. Pizzas, ice cream and home-baked goodies and music organized by our peer tutors should make for some happy memories. More later, with pictures, of course!
